About the Facilitiators
Kerry D. Vandell is Executive Director of the Bolz Center for Arts Administration, and a noted researcher and consultant on urban land economics. Professor Vandell has served as President of the American Real Estate and Urban Economics Association, Co-Editor of the association's journal Real Estate Economics, an Academic Fellow of the Urban Land Institute, a member of the Faculty and Board of the Homer Hoyt Advanced Studies Institute, a member of Fannie Mae's Housing Policy Advisory Board, and a member of several journal editorial boards, including the Journal of Real Estate Finance and Economics, Land Economics, the Journal of Housing Research, and Housing Policy Debate. His direct work with arts and cultural organizations has included impact studies for the Dallas Museum of Fine Arts and for Madison's $100- million arts district, as well as a published study on the effects of the charitable contribution tax deduction on giving to the arts. In January 2001, he completed a study on artist studio/loft space opportunities in Madison, Wisconsin.

Andrew Taylor is Director of the Bolz Center for Arts Administration. An author, educator, and speaker on a broad range of arts administration issues, Mr. Taylor has also provided management, communications, and technology consulting to American Ballet Theatre, the Columbus Association for the Performing Arts (CAPA), the International Society for the Performing Arts, and the Overture Foundation. Mr. Taylor specializes on the impact of communications technology on the performing arts. His chapter, “Pandora’s Bottle: Creative Content in the Digital Age” will be published in the upcoming book from Greenwood Press, The Arts in a New Millenium: Research and the Arts Sector.

Mark Nerenhausen, an alumnus of the Bolz Center for Arts Administration, has served as President of the Broward Center since 1998. His 20-year career has included leadership roles at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center, the Grand Opera House in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, and the Bijou Theater Center in Knoxville, Tennessee. He holds adjunct faculty positions in Arts Management at Florida International University and Florida Atlantic University. He also is a member of Leadership Broward and the Downtown Council Steering Committee.
