Cultural Dynamics Project facilitator and lead consultant Steven Peterson has posted an example of systems thinking turned toward the arts. Working with High Performance Systems, he prepares a 'story of the month' for their on-line newsletter, applying systems dynamics tools to a full range of topics -- from terrorism to business to social issues.

His time in Madison inspired him to focus the November/December 2003 issue to the arts. Building on a question from one of the conference participants, he mapped out the interplay of amateur arts and professional attendance, to see what forces might be at work.
