The Cultural Dynamics Project will take place at the Fluno Center for Executive Education, on the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus. Following is more information on your travel to and from Madison. Participants should plan to arrive in the late afternoon or evening of Friday, October 3, and depart on the afternoon of Sunday, October 5.
The event begins at 9:00 am on Saturday, October 4, 2003.
The event ends at Noon on Sunday, October 5, 2003
Important
All participants must book their own travel arrangements. All participants must also confirm their lodging nights and parking needs with the Fluno Center for Executive Education. Once you have made these arrangements, please forward them to Kerry O'Connor (koconnor@hewlett.org, phone: 650-234-4500 x5626, fax: 650-234-1926)
Air Travel
Participants must make their own air and ground transportation arrangements, which will be reimbursed by the project's fiscal manager, National Arts Strategies. Please retain your receipts.
The closest airport is Dane County Regional Airport (airport code: MSN), located on the east side of Madison, Wisconsin, and served by all of these airlines. For those participants having trouble finding appropriate flight times, American TransAir often provides multiple options, and avoids the frequent delays of Chicago's O'Hare airport (ATA flies through Chicago Midway).
A nearby option to Madison is Milwaukee, Wisconsin [General Mitchell International Airport (MKE)]. Milwaukee is approximately an hour and a half drive from Madison, so this travel option will require a rental car. If you have additional problems booking travel, please contact Andrew Taylor at the Bolz Center for Arts Administration (by phone: 608-263-4161, or by e-mail).
Ground Transportation
Taxi or rental car is the best option from the Madison airport. Rental car is the best option if traveling from the Milwaukee airport. A map to the Fluno Center is available on-line. If you will require parking in the Fluno Center, please request it when calling to confirm your lodging needs (see the next section).
Lodging
All participants will be housed in the Fluno Center for Executive Education. Lodging and parking costs will be billed directly to the project. However, each participant should contact the Fluno Center to arrange their preferred arrival and departure date and to request parking, if needed.
Please contact the Fluno Center at your earliest convenience to arrange your room (phone: 877-77-FLUNO, or on-line). A credit card will be required to reserve the room, but lodging and parking fees will be billed directly to the project (each participant will be responsible for incidental costs).
Questions or More Information
If you have any questions, comments, or concerns in making your travel and lodging arrangements, please contact Andrew Taylor at the Bolz Center for Arts Administration (by phone: 608-263-4161, or by e-mail).
